What to Wear and Bring

REQUIRED

Sturdy closed top shoes, such as sneakers or hiking boots are required for Soaring®. No Keens, Tevas, Crocs, watershoes, sandals, etc.

RECOMMENDED

  • Long pants (jeans) or capris are recommended over shorts, though knee-length shorts are OK – it’s a matter of comfort.
  • A shirt with a collar, as the harness straps sit close to your neckline and can rub. Some notice it, others don’t.
  • Long hair should be worn in a ponytail. No dangle earrings.
  • A rain jacket with hood, as Soaring® runs rain or shine.
  • Cameras are welcomed but must be small enough to fit into a pocket and should have a wrist-strap.
  • Note: Soaring® is at a higher altitude than Durango and is typically 5-10 degrees cooler. Layered clothing is suggested.
