Q: I’m unable to participate in Soaring, but I’d like to go with my family to Soaring. Can I do that?

Yes. You may come up as a “Day Guest” – you’ll be with your family on the train and while they get in their harnesses and go through our Soaring Learning Center. You may watch and take pictures of them Soaring through the first several spans of the course, which parallels on an even footpath, before the group heads into deeper woods. You’ll join your family for a four-course gourmet lunch on an elevated platform, and then you can follow along the river section in the afternoon enjoying the experience and taking pictures as they Soar back and forth across the river. The price for a day guest is $199, which includes access to the property, your train transportation and lunch.

Q: Does Soaring have babysitting service?

No, there is no babysitting service at Soaring Tree Top Adventures.

Q: I have a child who would like to go Soaring. Can they go by themselves?

- An unaccompanied minor must be at least 15 to come to Soaring without parental supervision. You will need to print out the two waivers from our “Downloadable Forms” section, complete and sign them, and send the waivers with a photocopy of your driver’s license with your child to Soaring. Without this information, Soaring will not permit a minor to participate in Soaring.

- Children accompanied by a parent to Soaring Tree Top Adventures who meet the age and weight requirements and who can operate independently of the parents may participate in Soaring.

- Children who do not meet the age or weight requirements must be accompanied by a parent on the ground while at Soaring Tree Top Adventures.

Q: Our pets are traveling with us on vacation. Where can we board them?

There are several pet boarding places in Durango. We recommend boarding them with the Durango Animal Hospital, which is located north of downtown Durango on Route 550 North. The Durango Animal Hospital opens around 8:00 am, so you can board your pet then continue north to Rockwood to catch the 9:24 am train, and pick them up on your way back to Durango after disembarking the train in Rockwood at 4:24 and driving back South towards town. That way your pet does not need to be boarded overnight. Durango Animal Hospital can be reached at: 970-247-3174.
